Deep Creek & Garrett County Real Estate Search MLS Listings

The pinnacle of Deep Creek Lake property ownership for some is lakefront property. There are many different styles of waterfront real estate - fee simple, condominium, home owner association access, split lakefront, etc. They all have a few things in common - you own a parcel of land that is adjacent to the buffer strip, which is a thin strip of land that circles all of the lake. Purchased by the state of Maryland from the Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), the buffer strip is based on elevation.
